AP exam preparation, live online

AP exams are graded 1 to 5 against a published course and exam description, and the free-response sections are marked to a rubric that says exactly where each point comes from. Students who have read that rubric write differently. Preparation here works from the current CED for your subject rather than from a general study guide, and free-response practice is marked the way the College Board marks it.

What the preparation covers

  • The current course and exam description for your subject, unit by unit
  • Multiple-choice technique, including the questions built around a stimulus
  • Free-response answers marked against the published scoring guidelines
  • Calculus AB and BC, Physics 1 and C, Chemistry, Biology, Statistics, Computer Science
  • Micro and Macroeconomics, US and World History, Psychology, and the language exams

Group course, or one-to-one

Group · 60 hours

Sixty hours per subject through the full course and exam description, in classes of six, with free-response work marked against the scoring guidelines from the first unit rather than the last month.

One-to-one

One-to-one lessons are the usual route for AP, because most students need two or three subjects rather than one. A prepaid package can be split across them — twenty lessons might go seven to Calculus, six to Chemistry and seven to Microeconomics.
