The IMAT is the entrance test for English-taught medicine and dentistry at Italian public universities, and it is scored with a penalty for wrong answers — which makes deciding when not to answer a real part of the technique. The science sits closer to an Italian secondary syllabus than to an international one, so the gaps are usually specific chemistry and physics topics rather than a general weakness.
